Honey Dijon South Carolina BBQ Sauce

  • 1/2 c. yellow mustard
  • 1/4 c. stone ground mustard
  • 1/4 c. dijon mustard
  • 1/3 c. honey (dark honey if you have it--I've used buckwheat honey successfully)
  • 1/4 c. light brown sugar
  • 1/4 c. white vinegar or apple cider vinegar (or a mix)
  • ground pepper to taste
Optional:
  • 1/2 tsp liquid smoke
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
  • zest of 1 lemon

Simmer ingredients together for 5 minutes, allow to cool, serve over pulled pork or other BBQ.
