Blackberry liqueur

  • 2 cups blackberries
  • 3/4 cup brandy
  • 1 1/4 cups vodka
  • 1/2-inch piece of lime zest without pith (optional)
  • 1 cup simple syrup (see note above)

Muddle berries and zest in large jar. Add brandy and vodka, steep for 3 days. Strain, add simple syrup, and bottle.

Store in fridge for up to 2 months.
